Este tipo de aparelho foi projetado para inibir cães. Entretanto, ele também pode ser muito útil como uma ferramenta de treino para seu cão. Ao ouvir o som eles provavelmente irão imediatamente parar o que estão fazendo. Funcionando então como uma punição à distância e indolor. Ajuda no treino anti-latido, bastando pressionar o botão no modo repelente quando seu cão ficar latindo incessantemente por mania. Esses pequenos aparelhos emitem uma frequência ultra sônica não audível para humanos porém um tanto irritante para nossos companheiros caninos e animais similares. O som não é somente de alta frequência mas é também alto, então poderá ser ouvido por cães à uma certa distância (geralmente entre 4 e 5 metros). Dog Reppellers são recomendados como repelente de cães porque normalmente permitem que haja uma certa distância entre você e um animal não amigável. Você não precisa ficar perto o suficiente para se colocar em risco.
